the program allows the youth access to a computer centre where learning and research can take place with the unlimited resources provided. The outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic has dramatically changed the academic landscape, Students currently registered are allowed access to a personal computer on which they can easily access online learning resources.
The long-term goal of the program is to partner with crucial government departments e.g. department of social development, home affairs etc. to allow online access to these services at the convenience of the public.
Hanley Foundation has a location in Soweto which is intended to function as a computer lab. This is where young people will have access to computers to do their schoolwork and apply for admission at prospective universities. Unemployed youth can also utilise the computers draft their Curriculum Vitae to apply for job opportunities. This house will serve as a community internet café with the only difference being that everyone can access it for free.
